Merry Christmas!

Well, this will be our first blog posting and I'm very excited about it. It will be a great way for everyone to really keep up with what is going on in our lives.

We had a great Christmas. It was very different in a lot of ways. Everytime since we have been married if we were in Birmingham we spent the night at Moms (or lived there already), but this year we woke up in our own beds. This is also the first Christmas with our kids. Before we went into the livingroom where "Santa Daddy" had been we read "The Cripled Lamb", by Max Lucado and talked about it being Jesus' birthday and how we should be thankful for what we had. When the kids walked into the livingroom the all three bursted out "Wow.. presents, thank you Jesus!" It was so funny, but so sweet too. And periodically while we were opening one of them would say "Thank you Jesus".

It took us FOREVER to get through al the presents b/c the kids wanted to play with everything or put everything on before they went to the next thing. So, we didn't get done until about 10:30, then it was time to get ready to go to the McDow house. We ate breakfast at their house and then opened presents, where all the kids got skates and the boys got a skate board and all the padding to go with them, and played all day. It was a lot of fun. Watching the kids try to skate and skateboard was so funny. They did pretty well, but it was a riot watching them.

It's back to the real world now, I came back to work on Wednesday and so did Jimmy. It's okay though because the weekend is coming soon and we will be able to enjoy all of our new stuff then.
